Job summary

The Medicine division are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual as a Medical Staffing Co-ordinator on a full-time, fixed-term basis.

You will work alongside our operational team to provide support with rota planning, locum usage, annual, study and sick leave for the medical workforce, reporting to the Assistant Service Manager for the division. You will also provide our junior doctors with local support and be a central point of contact.

The role requires excellent attention to detail, communication skills, a strong focus on engagement with staff at all levels as well as the ability to use your initiative and manage your workload, in order to combat rapidly changing priorities. You should also have the ability to work with and improve existing information systems and databases.

Main duties of the job

To operationally manage the medical staffing function within the medical division ensuring the production and collation of the weekly and on-call rotas for all medical specialities in liaison with the Assistant Service Managers. To act as the main point of contact for all medical staffing enquiries in the Division, including leave, sickness and HR issues

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop's Stortford, and St Margaret's Hospital in Epping.
