This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a top-quality Training Provider renowned for delivering Apprenticeships and work-based training to a diverse client base, both locally and regionally.

We are eager to accelerate our growth by hiring a Business Development Manager with a proven record of achieving results.

Responsibilities: You will assist with implementing the business’s sales strategy, identifying, and building new business opportunities. Ambitious and driven, you will deliver high levels of customer service and leverage your skills and experience to support the achievement of individual and team targets.

As part of the team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of employer engagement/business development professionals to secure new business opportunities through active engagement with current and new employers (primarily in the North West and Yorkshire), promoting Apprenticeships, Study Programmes, work-based training programmes, and commercial courses.
  • Conducting high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions.
  • Attending appointments with employers/potential learners to provide current information about programmes and associated funding.
  • Assessing individual employer requirements to select the most appropriate training solutions for their business needs.
  • Actively implementing new sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Staying updated on programmes, Government funding, and initiatives.
  • Liaising with various internal departments and personnel.
  • Using bespoke management information systems to manage and track employer and engagement activities.
  • Handling sensitive, private, and confidential information professionally, adhering to GDPR legislation.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrates a dynamic approach to business development.
  • Has a history of generating and implementing innovative business development ideas.
  • Has a proven track record of meeting challenging sales targets and leading strong sales performance across various programmes.
  • Is responsible for driving strategic growth and developing our client portfolio of highly satisfied employers, stakeholders, and learners.
  • Has experience building and maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of businesses and stakeholders.
  • Has a history of generating new customer accounts while nurturing relationships with current stakeholders/employers.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exhibits excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Has a high level of client focus, empathy, and understanding, and is a team player.
  • Is adaptable and enjoys working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Is dedicated to outstanding customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Can work effectively with personnel across the organization.
  • Has excellent IT skills and the ability to learn new software.
