We are looking for a Neighbourhood Services Assistant to support our Neighbourhood Services team in managing tenancies and fostering positive community relationships.

Role Overview:
As a Neighbourhood Services Assistant, you will support our team in delivering high-quality housing management services. You will engage directly with residents to address tenancy issues, assist in managing neighbourhood disputes, and help build strong community ties through engagement activities. Your work will be vital in ensuring that our tenants feel supported and valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Neighbourhood Services Officers with managing social housing tenancies and neighbourhoods.
  • Engage with residents to address low-level anti-social behaviour, disputes, and tenancy breaches.
  • Organize estate walkabouts, door-knocking exercises, and community events to strengthen relationships.
  • Support new tenants by coordinating tenancy sign-ups and Home Plan visits.
  • Respond to customer enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Accurately maintain records and produce reports to support the team’s objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Services team during peak periods to ensure consistent service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 5 or equivalent).
  • Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer management systems.
  • Experience in customer service, ideally within social housing or a similar field.
  • Ability to handle challenging conversations and manage diverse customer needs.
  • Understanding of landlord and tenant responsibilities.
  • Resilient, empathetic, and professional with a commitment to continuous development.
  • Able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
