We are a team of people who love and look after the most amazing Sanctuary in Kent, along with the 50+ cats that call BCS home. As a leading charity-based organisation, we’re committed to protecting rare and endangered cats from extinction, through education, conservation, and captive breeding programmes. Set in the heart of the beautiful Kent countryside, the BCS really is a working environment like no other.

Part of your role will be to ensure all reception & administrative functions run smoothly, so you will need to be confident in taking the initiative and being pro-active. With excellent communication and organisational skills, you will be passionate about people and always aim to exceed expectations.
Well-groomed and immaculate presentation is essential as part of delivering 5* professional and efficient service.

**About You** Friendly, courteous and helpful behaviour should come naturally to you and you’ll be expected to work both as part of a team and independently. Good communication skills (attentive listening, verbal communication and eye contact) are essential, as is the willingness to work flexible hours (especially on weekends).

**Duties Include** Acting as receptionist to all visitors including meeting, greeting, and attending to the needs of guests, ensuring a superb customer service experience;
Dealing with credit/debit card payments, processing payments confidently and correctly; effectively “upselling” any add-ons, daily promotions or targeted sales;
Working in partnership with other team members ensuring events, adoptions and experiences are purchased, processed and booked appropriately;
To deal with customer queries, complaints and requests, ensuring all are dealt with satisfactorily and providing a world class level of service;

**Days/Hours** 3 days over 7, 07.30-16.30 or 08.00-17.00 (24 hours per week, plus overtime as required); ability to work weekends is essential

**Status** Part-time, permanent

**Location** The Big Cat Sanctuary, Headcorn Road, Smarden, Ashford TN27 8PJ (please note, access to your own vehicle is essential as we are not accessible by public transport)

**Start Date** ASAP
