we seeking anexperienced scientist specialising in HDXMS to join our MassSpectrometry team within the Protein Structure and Biophysics Groupin Slough UK. The MS team provides critical project support frominitial adoption into the portfolio through to candidate selectionof NBE and NCE therapeutics generated from our discovery platforms.Structural and mechanistic understanding of target and therapeuticmolecule interactions are driven by our department using MassSpectrometry CryoEM Xray crystallography SAXS NMR and otherbiophysical techniques. The successful candidate will have a proventrack record in the design and execution of HDXMS experiments witha contextual understanding of their results alongside otherstructural data. We require someone who can quickly integrate intoour team manage and prioritise the demands from multiple projectscommunicate clearly and will enjoy working within a highlymotivated and multidisciplinarydepartment

Requirements

EssentialExperience


PhD or BSc with 5 years of relevantlaboratorybased experience in the design execution and analysis ofHDXMS experiments for antibody/protein/ligandinteractions
Experienced with Waters data processingsoftware packages (PLGS) and DynamX
Practical knowledge Waters HDXMSsystem
Use of structural visualisation tools(PyMOL Chimera or similar)
Experienced with HDXMS experiments usingNBE and NCE molecules
Excellent organisational communicationrecord keeping and teamworkingabilities

DesirableExperience
HDXMS analysis of membraneproteins
Troubleshooting and maintenance of WatersLC/MS equipment
Practical ability with Native MS ionmobility MS SECMS or intact massLC/MS
Proven track record of publications related to mass spectrometry inpeer reviewed journals
Appreciation of recombinant proteinexpression systems and PTMs
Working knowledge of Thermo ScientificOrbitrap MSsystems

Experience with financial management, forecasting, accruals Projectmanagement experience in order to bring structure in the chaos Softskills: meticulousness, attention for detail, communication skills,good team spirit Experience as a PMO in a similar programmeExperience in life sciences/pharma environment or any othervalidated environment (GxP environment)
