About the role
We are recruiting for a Senior Delivery Manager to working within our Cyber Operations function.
Cyber Operations purpose is to support safe care and build public trust by building NHS England’s cyber resilience and enabling the wider health system to be cyber resilient, supporting Transformation Directorate’s purpose of delivering the best care and outcomes for the NHS.
The Cyber Operations sub-directorate consists of 4 operational areas:
Cyber Security Operations Unit (CSOU). Cyber Delivery Unit (CDU). Cyber Improvement Programme (CIP). Chief Information Security Office Function (CISO).This role sits within the Cyber Delivery which contains 4 pillars:
Regional Engagement – direct support to the NHS frontline providing on the ground advice during cyber incidents.
Cyber Engagement – supporting security awareness within NHS England, and the Health & Social Care sector.
Cyber Infrastructure – integration and intelligence client
Cyber Clinical & Tiger Team – ensuring clinical considerations are at the heart of all Cyber Operations work and delivering a tactical ‘find and fix’ capability for pressing cyber issues.
The Role
Working as a Senior Delivery Manager brings with it a level of accountability that is integral to the effective operation of the Cyber Delivery function and the broader organisation, supporting onboarding and high severity incident support to the cyber ops team to ensure that the NHS and Social Care system is resilient to cyber-attacks, protects individuals and technological advances in care this will create significant risk.
Reporting directly to the Deputy Director of Security (Delivery) the postholder has full accountability of delivering, maintaining, and improving governance, within Cyber Operations Centre of NHS England, which is a world class leader in health security.
You will be responsible for:
Commercial and financial planning activity for Cyber Operations Directorate and the Cyber Improvement programme Engaging effectively with organisations and key stakeholders across the system to manage the delivery of effective contract management of cyber suppliers, which will form a key part of the Cyber Operations Delivery model in order to ensure VFM contracts that are monitored throughout their lifecycle. Management of graduate/apprentices and in the implementation of the Attract and Retain Talent programme to ensure on-going pipelines of cyber talent as the role of Cyber Operations grows within NHS England.

All NHS Digital/England Cyber Security personnel must hold security clearance SC level as a minimum. To meet National Security Vetting requirements, you must have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years for SC clearance. Candidates who were posted abroad for service with HM Government, Armed Forces or within a UK government role - will still be considered. More information on SC clearance can be foundPlease make sure you meet these requirements before applying for this role. You don’t need to have SC already, however, failure to achieve the requirements for SC after offer, will result in the job offer being withdrawn.
