Pertemps Exeter are recruiting for a senior delivery service operative, based out of Exeter. The role of the Senior Delivery Service Operative is to lead, deploy, motivate & engage the depot-based delivery operations team to achieve agreed customer service levels and ensuring safe working systems are embedded throughout daily operations within the field and in depots.
You will be responsible for daily workplace & facilities management & housekeeping of the hub/depot and leads workplace & facilities management audit improvement activities with support from Regional Operations Manager. Owns full stock lifecycle management processes for products & consumables in hub/depot and vehicles. Focused on developing, embedding and sustaining a culture where challenges are positively viewed as opportunities, where people can be themselves, and talent is nurtured to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily performance of the hub/depot-based Delivery Operations Team driving performance to achieve agreed customer service levels and ensuring all delivery administration & stock rotation activities are completed to the required standard.- Manage the utilisation of the Delivery Service Team in the hub/depot and in support of the region.- Scheduling of customer ad hoc delivery activities in accordance with customer segmentation categorisation- Day to day workplace & facilities management of the hub/depot ensuring excellent standards of housekeeping, adherence to safe systems of work, and managing and/or escalating any non-conformances or issues as required.- Leads workplace & facilities management audit improvement activities with support from Regional Operations Manager.- Manage product & consumables stock lifecycle processes - regular stock takes, forecasting, ordering, adjustments, responsible waste disposal, and identification of stock write-offs.- Escalate any team member achievements or performance/conduct concerns to the Regional Operations Manager.- Ensures compliance to all legal, people, workplace & facilities management policies & practices and the OOH governance framework within region- Oversees the daily fleet checks to ensure vehicles are fit for purpose and portray the required external image of the company.- Management of allocated vehicle through adhering to regular maintenance and cleanliness requirements and completing daily vehicle checks to ensure safety before use.- Ensures compliance with all mandatory training requirements & actively manage own development & learning opportunitiesAbout you:
- You will need previous experience leading and organising a customer facing team to maximise productivity & achieve agreed customer service levels or team objectives- You'll have multi drop delivery driver experience, ideally within leisure or hospitality- Be confident dealing with customer complaint management to minimise business & customer satisfaction impact- Have experience in implementing & working in accordance with safe systems of work and standard operating procedures- Be willing to get involved in operational improvements projects and change process- You will have the ability to co-ordinate & engage others to achieve team objectives & targets,- Be driven, resilient and passionate with the ability to embrace and drive change- Have a hands-on attitude with a natural curiosity to learn- Be focused on sharing good practices, continuous improvement and finding a better way- Be Open, honest, authentic and approachableTo Apply:
