Job Description

 

A new opportunity has arisen to join our content team as a speaker operations coordinator across a series of our global events.

The role will play a key part in our conference production, through managing relationships with stakeholders and speakers, collecting key information where required, facilitating introductions, researching new speakers, following up on invites and, ultimately, contributing to and executing on our vision across the Founders Forum Group.

This fast-paced role will require ambition, strong research skills, the ability to build relationships with senior industry and government figures, the ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities and excellent internal and external stakeholder management.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is interested in the tech and startup ecosystem with the chance to liaise with some of the most exciting names in tech

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Collaborate with the content team, and other internal teams, to ensure the smooth delivery of innovative programmes
  • Manage communications with high-profile speakers - founders, investors, tech leaders - including invites, follow ups and briefings for various events
  • Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date speaker database
  • Provide exceptional on-site support during events, ensuring speakers have a positive and memorable experience
  • Research and identify the tech world's rising stars, supporting to secure fresh, new speakers for our events

Requirements

Experience and qualifications:

  • Some knowledge and experience of the B2B event world is desirable, not essential
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial organisation
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Demonstrable experience of the ability to build positive relationships with multiple different stakeholders
  • Interest in the tech startup ecosystem

Measurements of success will involve:

  • Maintaining an accurate speaker database
  • Successfully automating processes for speaker outreach & chasers
  • Identifying and securing participation from a targeted number of new, diverse, high-profile speakers
  • Effective and professional communication with speakers, providing timely responses and valuable assistance
  • High speaker satisfaction with pre-event and onsite support
