We’re Minor Figures. Founded on a rooftop in 2014 by three friends with a shared love of coffee, MF has since grown into a global brand with a team of over 100 people across the world, with offices in the UK, USA, and Australia. We create plant-based products for coffee lovers, baristas and a better planet. We love teaming up with people as mad about coffee as we are and love nothing more than heading down to their local cafe to enjoy a chat with the friendly & expert barista. 

All our products are 100% plant based and vegan friendly with no added sugar. The company is exploding, achieving record sales figures each quarter.

Minor Figures would be nothing without the independent coffee scene and our products can be found in over 4,000 specialty coffee shops worldwide, where we regularly run Freedays and Minor Figures FM events. We’re also expanding fast, with products lining the shelves in major supermarkets in our three core regions and our team achieving record sales figures quarter-on-quarter.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is all about finding and hiring amazing people to come and join Minor Figures.  You will work with line managers to deeply understand who we are looking for and devise a sourcing strategy to cast the net in the right places.  You own the end to end recruitment process and you are Minor Figures’ face to the world when it comes to our people and what it’s like to work here.  You live and breathe our employer brand and convey that to people so they are knocking down the door to join us 

We are growing fast and hiring people across a range of functions including marketing, sales, supply chain and production.  

You will handle around 5-10 requisitions at any given time, across all levels of seniority. 

The role is global; you will be working on roles primarily in the UK, USA, and Germany, but with potential for other regions throughout Europe. 

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

As any HR professional will tell you, plans and to-do lists go out the window on a daily, or hourly basis. This isn’t a straightforward role. The trajectory will change often.

Here’s an overview of what we’d like you to be doing:

• Ownership of the full recruitment process, making sure it is efficient and that our time to hire and cost per hire are competitive whilst at the same time not compromising on quality of candidates.

• Management of ATS within Personio

• Partnering with hiring managers to agree on requirements of the role, sourcing strategy and assisting in writing tantalising job descriptions and exciting job adverts that stand out and speak to the free spirited bold thinkers we want to attract. 

• Screening candidates, setting up interviews and making sure that every candidate we speak to has an amazing experience they want to tell their friends about.  You’ll also be in charge of sealing the deal once we’ve found the perfect person for the job.  

• Ownership of our employer brand and how we use that to attract the right people and raise awareness of Minor Figures as an employer. 

ABOUT YOUR TEAM

You will report to our Global People Partner, Andy and will be part of our small but beautiful people team working with our People & Business Coordinator in US, Sandra and our new incoming People & Culture Advisor.

ABOUT YOU

First up, we hire humans, not machines, so let’s look at the key skills we need. You’ll:

• Be an ambassador of the Minor Figures brand
• Have a sense of fun, adventure, along with a hands on & a can-do approach
• Not be phased by constant change and challenges and willing to adapt and implement solutions
• Have a willingness to help in all areas of the business when needed
• Have excellent communication skills and self motivation with an ability to grow the role with the business.

Experience wise, let’s dive into it. You’ll ideally:

• You are an experienced recruiter (3 years +) who loves the thrill of matching the perfect candidate to their dream role
• You are a gifted writer who can put a little fun and funk into a job advert so it catches the eye of the type of person we are looking for.  You ‘get’ Minor Figures; walk and talk who we are and communicate that to candidates
• You know how to use video and social media to get our voice heard in a crowded market, and you’re up to speed with HR tech.  You don’t always follow the rules, you let your individuality shine and you are not afraid to tell people what you think
• You are happy with working some weird hours - there will be a few early mornings and late evenings to account for time-zones.
