JOB TITLE: DIGITAL SAMPLES ASSISTANT MANAGER

REPORTS TO: DIGITAL SAMPLES MANAGER

LOCATION: HORSEFERRY HOUSE, LONDON

ORGANISATION UNIT: MARKETING & COMMS

 

PURPOSE

Reporting into the Marketing wing of Burberry, the role is to provide Assistant Management to the Digital Samples Manager and to the Digital Samples team. This role will be responsible for managing the Assistants as well as the Operations coordinator.

The Assistant Manager will also have a key part in the day to day running of the Digital Samples office as well as ensuring that all Coordinators and Assistants are aligned.

Key reporting for budgets will be required, as well as attending senior stakeholder meetings.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Support the Digital Samples Manager in critical path, calendar planning and set management alongside production.

·       Content Readiness – assist in ensuring content is met by each floor set deadline and forecast production arrivals before deadline.

·       Working with Order Management and Digital Merchandising Operations in aligning order books with order deadline.

·       Manging the DS Operations Coordinator at the start of season with ensuring production and re-sampling order deadline are met and all orders are placed correctly.

·       Support managing and reporting the yearly re-sampling budget of £150,000.

·       Manging the hub ordering process and ensuring weekly in stock materials have been pulled in the office.

·       Liaising with Digital Merchandising Operations in ensuring all range drafts are in ahead of additions and cancellations deadline.

·       Ensure that Coordinators are sending orders in time as well as updating TBCs.

·       Weekly reviewing production delivery dates to forecast delays on a seasonal Floorset Launch.

·       Monitoring all goods in and out of DS and ensuring all product received has been goods receipted to ensure Vendors are paid.

·       Overseeing the returns process and ensuring returns are being processed frequently.

·       Assist Digital Samples Manager in storage walk throughs to ensure sample management best practice is followed as well as managing bi-yearly stock take.

·       Review ways of working to improve and introduce better efficient way that improves Burberry.com / Third Party Content.

·       Attend key stakeholder and senior leadership meetings as a support to Digital Samples Manager.

·       Manage overall workload of Coordinators and Assistants ensuring they are working in efficient and productive ways.

·       Manage the development of the content creation tool Flo for the Digital Samples team as well as work cross functionally with other stakeholders to ensure Flo development supports all teams.

·       Experience of working under pressure in a fast paced environment and tight deadlines

·       Excellent rapport building skills with all levels of Management

·       Excellent Team player who is Passionate about Burberry, Products and the Fashion  industry

·       Will demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in their positive attitude and conduct

·       Interest or background in digital commerce and content delivery

·       Ability to communicate effectively in meetings as well as written
