We are currently seeking a Head of Community to join our team. This pivotal role will lead our content and community team, overseeing both digital and face-to-face content. The ideal candidate will ensure we consistently address and solve the challenges faced by our communities, driving engagement and fostering meaningful connections.

Scope of Responsibility

  • Content Strategy: Develops and oversees the overall content strategy across various platforms to ensure alignment with the company's goals and audience needs.
  • Community Management: Engages with and grows the community of readers, viewers, or users, fostering interaction and loyalty.
  • Cross-Platform Coordination: Manages content distribution across multiple channels, including social media, websites, newsletters, and integrates conference and event content.


Focus Areas

  • Audience Engagement: Focuses on building and maintaining a strong relationship with the audience, with a focus on the Index Groups.
  • Content Creation and Curation: Ensures high-quality, relevant content is created and curated to meet the needs of the community.
  • Community Building: Develops strategies to grow and engage the community, including organising mini events (such as roundtables, Networking from Home etc.), moderating discussions, and responding to audience feedback.
  • Agenda Building and Research: Develops content agendas based on thorough research and aligns them with audience interests and organisational goals.


Responsibilities

  • Content Calendar: Plans and manages the content calendar, ensuring timely and consistent content delivery.
  • Analytics and Feedback: Uses data and audience feedback to adjust content strategies and improve engagement.
  • Collaboration: Works closely with marketing, membership and other departments to ensure cohesive content and community strategies.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilises data analytics to drive content decisions and measure outcomes, ensuring strategies are effective and goals are met.
  • Agenda Building and Research: Conducts research to inform content agendas, ensuring they are relevant, timely, and aligned with audience interests and organisational goals.


Cross-Platform Coordination

  • Content Distribution: Ensures content is distributed effectively across various platforms, including marketing, websites, and newsletters.
  • Platform-Specific Strategies: Develops tailored content strategies for each platform to maximise engagement and reach which aligns with the event milestones.
  • Conference and Event Integration: Coordinates content related to conferences and events, including live coverage, speaker highlights, session recaps, and post-event analysis to align with the content milestones.
  • Unified Messaging: Ensures a consistent and cohesive message across all platforms and touchpoints.
  • Conference Contribution: Leads and manages content to support conference work, aligning content with conference themes and objectives.


Building Agendas and Researching Agendas

  • Research: Conducts thorough research (digital and in-person) to understand audience interests, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Agenda Development: Creates detailed content agendas that guide the creation and curation of content, ensuring it meets the needs and interests of the community.
  • Stakeholder Input: Incorporates input from key stakeholders to ensure content agendas align with broader business objectives.
  • Review and Adaptation: Regularly reviews and adapts content agendas based on data insights and feedback to keep them relevant and impactful.
  • Speaker Management: Source and secure speakers for all events ensuring we are utilising our Premium Members and Index Groups as a priority. Manage and curate onboarding process delivering a high-quality speaker experience.


Data-Driven Outcomes

  • Data Collection: Collects and analyses data from various sources, including audience analytics, engagement metrics, and feedback.
  • Outcome Measurement: Measures the effectiveness of content strategies and community initiatives using data-driven metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Uses data insights to continuously refine and improve content and community strategies.
  • Reporting: Provides regular reports on key metrics and outcomes, informing stakeholders of progress and areas for improvement.


Commercial Integration

  • Revenue-Generating Content: Creates and manages content that drives revenue, including sponsored content and premium membership.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Establishes and nurtures partnerships with brands, sponsors, and influencers to drive commercial success through collaborative content and events.
  • Business Development: Identifies and develops new business opportunities through content, such as innovative monetisation strategies and new revenue streams.
  • New Event Scoping: Utilises data to identify opportunities for new events and revenue growth areas through content, analysing audience interests and market trends.
  • Revenue Growth: Leverages data to develop strategies that drive revenue growth, such as new content formats, partnership opportunities, and monetisation strategies.
  • Lead Generation: Develops data-driven, lead-generative content, such as whitepapers, case studies, and benchmarking reports, to attract and engage potential clients and partners.
  • Sales Team Integration: Works with sales teams to create collaborative content that supports sales initiatives, enhances sponsored conference sessions, and drives revenue.


Budget Contribution

  • Budget Planning: Contributes to the development and management of the company budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet strategic goals.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensures efficient use of resources across all content and community initiatives.


Compliance and Policies

  • CPD Management: Leads the relationship with CPD, allocating points by brand and ensuring compliance with CPD requirements.
  • Editorial Policies: Sets and enforces editorial policies to maintain consistency, quality, and accuracy in all content.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensures all content complies with legal and ethical standards, including copyright laws and defamation guidelines.


Innovation and Creativity

  • Innovative Content Formats: Develops and experiments with new content formats and interactive elements to engage the audience in fresh and exciting ways.
  • Creative Campaigns: Initiates creative content campaigns that resonate with the community and drive engagement across platforms.
  • Trendsetting: Identifies and leverages emerging trends and technologies to keep content strategies ahead of the curve.


Community-Driven Initiatives

  • User-Generated Content: Encourages and integrates user-generated content to enhance community involvement and authenticity.
  • Feedback Loops: Establishes and maintains feedback loops with the community to continually adapt and improve content offerings.
  • Ambassador Programmes: Develops and manages ambassador programmes to empower and engage influential community members.


Personalised Content Experiences

  • Segmentation: Uses data to create personalised content experiences tailored to different audience segments.
  • Interactive Content: Develops interactive content experiences, such as quizzes, polls, and live Q&A sessions, to deepen audience engagement.
  • Community Events: Organises virtual and in-person community events to foster deeper connections and engagement.


Marketing Collaboration

  • Content Marketing Plans: Works with marketing teams to build comprehensive content marketing plans that align with business goals and conference agenda timelines.
  • Lead Generation: Develops data-driven and lead-generative content, including benchmarking reports and whitepapers, to attract and engage potential clients.
  • Collaborative Content: Partners with sales teams to create collaborative content that supports sales initiatives and enhances the attractiveness of sponsored conference sessions.
