Key Responsibilities:

  • Balancing hands-on involvement with strategic oversight, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to construct and deploy complex, enterprise-level microservice-based systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading and mentoring technical and cross-functional software delivery teams is essential, with previous exposure to the fintech sector being highly advantageous.
  • A robust understanding of agile methodologies is required, including the facilitation of agile practices, establishment of new processes, and support for ongoing agile transformation within the organization.
  • Extensive experience in architecting and developing sophisticated enterprise-grade software products, particularly in Azure microservice environments, is a must.
  • Proactivity, strong organizational skills, and adaptability are crucial for success in this dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • The ability to identify and address training needs and team deficiencies is key, alongside adept stakeholder management both internally and externally.
  • Effective people management skills, particularly in engaging remote teams to foster a culture of trust and high performance, are essential.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps, GIT, CI/CD, Docker, and SOLID principles is required, along with a responsibility for managing technical debt and transitioning to next-generation technology stacks.
  • Advising on technical development approaches, recruiting and onboarding new developers, and setting KPIs for team members are also within the scope of this role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities are necessary, as is ensuring the delivery of sustainable technologies and overseeing quality assurance.
  • Overall responsibility for software delivery across the organization, including managing workload, scheduling, and efficiency of the bespoke software development function.
  • Collaborating with infrastructure services to merge skill boundaries and ensure system resilience.
  • Generating comprehensive system documentation and managing resources across different locations effectively.
  • Contributing to project planning and execution, including risk management, proof of concept development, and project cost assessment.
  • Active involvement in disaster recovery planning and testing.
