Sponsorship Sales Director

Up to £85,000 + Uncapped OTE

London (3-4 days per week office) – International Travel US & Europe


This position provides overall leadership, management, and execution of the sponsorship sales function across the enterprise. The successful candidate will be a good people manager able to bring the best out of the sales team looking after a team of 6 (Likely to rise in 2025). The role covers all aspects of sales management ensuring an excellent approach to attracting, retaining and engaging a high quality, performance-based team whilst delivering set revenue targets.


Responsibilities include:

Owning and hitting/exceeding annual sales targets to achieve annual business revenue and profittargets

Hitting monthly,quarterly, and annual targets set by the MD

Developing and executing strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand their customer base globally

Managing the Sponsorship Sales Team, lead from the front.

Developing key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans for the team and for the individuals

Hiring, developing, and retaining Grade-A sales talent to ensure a high performing and high retention sales team

Building and maintaining strong,long-lasting customer relationships

Constantly references sales process and how it can be used effectively to gain business

Listen to calls and coach reps through the sales process


Key Expertise Required:

Have demonstrable experience in managing, coaching, and leading a sponsorship sales team in the conference/events industry

A background in managing sponsorship sales teams is essential

Have a proven track record in growing and exceeding event sales revenue targets

Be analytical in your approach, using data effectively to help make decisions on sales strategies and people training/development

Have experience in working with CRM systems for sales management

Be commercially astute and accurate/confident in providing forecasts/budgets to the leadership team

Ideally have experience launchingnew products into new markets/geographies

Lead from thefront- be a true brand ambassador for the organisation

Be a natural self-starter, enthusiastic and inspirational leader

Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
