Role Overview: In this exciting role, you will inherit £1.8 million worth of accounts and take charge of selling sponsorships and exhibition stand space for the company’s flagship events. This is the first time a dedicated Sales Manager will focus solely on driving growth, making it a pivotal role within the business. You’ll receive direct support and mentorship from the Event Manager, who has been managing both sales and operations, ensuring a seamless transition as you take over her established clients.

What's particularly exciting is the untapped potential in this role. Up until now, all sales have been inbound, leaving a vast market waiting to be explored. With plans to introduce more premium stands and branded networking areas, the value proposition is set to skyrocket. Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales of exhibition and sponsorship packages, focusing on expanding the customer base and rebooking clients with increased order values year-on-year.
  • Take ownership of £1.8 million worth of accounts, working to maximise their value and grow the business.
  • Win new business by exploring the vast untapped market potential and up-sell and cross-sell across the events portfolio.
  • Lead effective sales conversations in person, on the phone, and via video conferencing, with a focus on building strong client relationships.
  • Proactively prospect for new opportunities across various platforms and collaborate with colleagues to deliver ROI for clients.
  • Create compelling proposals that resonate with client decision-makers, championing client results within the business to secure deals and drive future growth.
  • Utilise CRM, LinkedIn, and other systems to manage time effectively, maximise pipeline, and achieve sales targets.

Desired Experience:

  • 3+ years of B2B events sales experience, with a strong understanding of transactional events vs. trade shows or conferences.
  • Proven success in generating new business and expanding client accounts, ideally in the retail and property sectors.
  • Confidence and comfort in leading face-to-face business development meetings at client offices and on-site at events.
  • Suitable for a high-achieving B2B events sales professional looking to join an ambitious and growing business.
