Join our dynamic Qualification & Assessment Design team as an Assessment Quality Coordinator and play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our assessments.


What exactly will you be doing?


As an Assessment Quality Coordinator, you will proactively contribute to the successful delivery and maintenance of our assessments by effectively managing human-marking procedures and processes. You will ensure quality assurance through coordinating standardisation meetings and supporting marker training. Additionally, you will support the development of best practice resources for our Chief Examiners and markers while collaborating on projects to enhance our qualifications and assessments. With your expertise, you will identify risks, reduce incidents, and drive continuous improvement. Major objectives

The major objectives for the role are:


  • Proactively contribute to the successful delivery and maintenance of our assessments through effective and efficient management of human marking procedures and processes alongside the Assessment Operations team.
  • Maintain quality assurance of marking by supervising standardisation meetings.
  • Facilitate marker standardisation by coordinating the development of sample responses for new human-marked assessment tasks (for both existing and new assessments).


What are we looking for?

  • Sound knowledge of assessment administration processes and procedures.
  • Exceptional skills in time management, problem-solving and working to deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication abilities with a strong command of English grammar and proofreading expertise.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, exhibiting strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, influence others, and persuade when necessary.
  • A proven track record of working for an awarding body or educational institution, overseeing assessment administration is essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current practices, regulations, and quality assurance requirements in education and assessment is desirable.
