We are delighted to be working with this small but dynamic consulting business, in their search for an Assistant Finance Manager.


The role is paying 38-40K, is based in Central London with 1 day a week in the office expected.


The role will form part of a small finance team, reporting into the Finance Director, supporting them on the growth trajectory and automation of day to day processes.


This role will focus predominantly on billing and the broader bookkeeping activity. As such it is vital that candidates have experience across both complex billing activity and also double entry bookkeeping. It would be advantageous if this experience came from Professional Services industries.


Experience with Xero is also a prerequisite for this role.


You will be highly organised with good communication, as this role will have client interaction.

The successful candidate will have a can do attitude and will have a desire to develop and learn from the Finance Director, taking on more responsibility as the role progresses.


Key and essential skills

Qualified by experience or AAT qualified

Proficient in using Xero and confident in navigating excel data sets

Good understanding of Microsoft Package ( Excel, Word etc ) and a web based platform - Share Point for collaboration, documents management and storing data

Good understanding of profit and loss and balance sheet

Good understanding of double entry bookkeeping and VAT

Highly organized and able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, working to a high level of accuracy

Highly numerate and ability to work to tight deadlines

Excellent communication skills

Being proactive, efficient and have a positive “can do” attitude
