An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a cluster of Luxury Goods brands, Harrys of London, and Richard James Savile Row in the heart of central London. Reporting into the COO, this position will cover the UK entities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, working closely with the finance team, as well as collaborating with various departments across the business to help them understand their numbers.


Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager -

· Produce monthly management accounts for the UK & US Reporting,

· Preparation of year end accounts and liaise with auditors to ensure company compliance

· Implement and improve internal controls across finance processes,

· Weekly dashboard reporting to management and board of directors

· Work with the Inventory and Buying team to optimise production funding

· Manage the team of 2 assistants, and the overall finance function,

· Prepare annual budgets and forecasts,

· Monitor and manage expenses trackers for all aspects, including Product Margins and profitability,

· Reviewing and reconciling monthly retail sales, wholesales, online & other revenue invoices into the system

· Monthly payroll preparation and submissions for salaries, commission, and pensions

· Reporting on yearly HMRC fillings for PD11s and PSA taxes

· Quarterly VAT returns

· Providing information for US taxes

· Cashflow management and working capital on a daily, weekly, monthly, and rolling forecast

· Working with all departments to understand cash requirement and future activities of the business

· Overseeing and approving the weekly payment schedule to ensure sufficient short-term cash in the business

· Close relationship with board of directors based in New York, to present management accounts and

· performance, recommend strategies, discussion on working capital needs and funding

· Developing and maintaining relationships with external parties such as auditors, legal and banks

· Business Partnering with other departments – production, wholesale, E-com, merchandising, logistics, retail to ensure controls, department strategy and needs are enforced and recommend continuous improvements to work practices

· Ad hoc activities as requested from Managing Director and board of directors


Key Skills:

· CIMA, ACCA, ACA part qualified

· SME environment or Retail experience preferred

· Strong technical ability ideally from management accounts background

· Strong excel Advanced Excel skills

· Sage Software Experience is highly regarded

· Experience with multi-entities preferable but not essential

· Experience in a multi-currency environment desirable

· Strong team player

· Must have an excellent attention to detail, being highly diligent in all reporting and posting matters.
