Equifind is partnering with a rapidly growing SaaS platform that is revolutionising the personal finance and mortgage marketplace. We are currently assisting them in their search for a new Group Finance Manager.


Following a significant investment from one of the world’s most prominent private equity firms, there is an increased need for support within the finance operations function. This new capital injection and the arrival of new shareholders has led to a wave of new reporting, analysis, and consolidation requirements, as well as a series of exciting projects in the pipeline.


Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant eager to make a meaningful impact, gain a deep understanding of business operations, and take on increased responsibility.


*We are open to considering candidates from outside of London, should they be able to commit to working from the office one day per week.


What will I be doing?


  • Prepare and maintain accurate monthly consolidated financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements) for internal and external stakeholders in accordance with IFRS.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and precise reporting.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile accounts and promptly resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Support external audit processes and maintain audit readiness at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards, including tax (Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE, and R&D) compliance and reporting.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards or tax regulations; disseminate knowledge and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
  • Analyse actuals against budget/forecast and explain variances.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (finance, operations, and management teams) to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes and systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance team and the wider Group.

What Do I Need To Apply?


  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA preferred)
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a reporting-based role
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and consolidations
  • Experience of working within a fintech or SaaS organisation would be beneficial
  • Advanced-level Excel skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting requirements
  • Proven stakeholder management experience and relationship building skills
