Purpose of the Job

Selling solutions focused on mechatronic applications to customers, main focus is acquiring and expanding new customers along with increasing the turnover of the current customer base.

Building a long and sustainable relationship with customers that yields a carefully crafted solution that is mutually beneficial in terms of company growth and profitability.

Our client is a Globally Leading Automation Manufacturer. Drawing on its solution expertise as a systems provider, our client develops with and for its customers high-quality mechatronic products (Drives and controls), powerful systems consisting of hardware and software for successful automation and digitalization.


Responsibilities:

The Field Sales Team Selection UK is focused on Mechatronics & carries responsibility for:


External orientation:

  • Searching, identifying, meeting and acquiring new clients in order to expand the existing customer base.
  • Acquiring market and client information, understanding the needs of the market and knowing the client's objective.
  • Knowing the USPs of the competition and using this information successfully to the benefit the client
  • Making the client Selection, as an organization, its products and solutions more appealing to the client.
  • Making sure that the client considers the organization Selection to be the optimal partner.
  • Selling mechatronic solutions and identifying opportunities for the sales of the system; aimed at value creation.



Execution:

  • Realizing growth with Mechatronics solutions.
  • Drafting a SWOT analysis of the market, client and competition.
  • Analyzing the buying centres.
  • Together with the Head of Selection UK, drafting an account plan from the information collected with stimulating targets and SMART objectives.
  • Successfully executing the account plans and discussing progress with the Head of Selection
  • Knowing and being able to integrate all information regarding conditions, risks, details, service, warranties, delivery time and agreements in SAP, ERP and CRM
  • The ability to correctly inform Internal Sales so they can make offers and information can be recorded in ERP/SAP
  • Sharing acquired knowledge with respect to the market, clients and competition with our client so the general level of the organization is raised, and the client is offered the optimal technical solution.
  • Identifying trends in the market and translating this to our client Selection solution



Organizational

  • Identifying opportunities to sell Mechatronic systems.
  • Managing Sales projects.


Technical

  • Offering the client the correct technical mechatronic solution.
  • Providing technical support to fellow account managers.



General:

  • Taking care of the interfaces between the departments.
  • To operate within the authority and procedures set forth by our client.
  • Filling in for Sales Team colleagues in case of absence
  • Making the company grow and sharing success.
  • Contributing to a good work environment.
  • Positively contribute to realising a 100% customer satisfaction rate.



Job requirements:


Colleagues in the UK based Selection sales team ideally are degree qualified along with a good knowledge of mechanics, mechatronics or experience in R&D.


Technical

  • comprehensive knowledge of the our client’s product portfolio;
  • knowledge of machines and process auditing.
  • comprehensive knowledge of Mechatronics and knows how and when to bring in experts;
  • technical mathematical skills and can choose the right Drive solution.
  • specific knowledge of drive components, clutches/brakes, motors, gearboxes, linear motion and their applications.


Sales

  • Can create and sustain a healthy relationship with customers, is customer-oriented, takes responsibility for the customer and outlines limitations.
  • Focuses on the buying process of the customer, is able to create and realise ways to reach targets and obtain projects.
  • Participates and gains benefits from exhibitions, trade fairs and network meetings.
  • Can work proactively.
  • Has the analytical ability to choose the right Mechatronics solution.



Communication

  • Has excellent communication skills on different levels.
  • Understands the concept of active listening to discover the topics of the customers.
  • Can detect the pain points of the customers as well as the trends that the customers face.
  • Knows how to network and motivate people.
  • Knows how to pitch the product offerings to the customer and the market.

  • Works according to the client standard procedures, knows how to work with MS office. packages and SAP, ERP and CRM.

Someone that is from the Automation world that has experience in selling Industrial Automation products and solutions. Ideally knowledge of mechanics, mechatronics or experience in R&D.
