Overview

On behalf of our client, one of the UK’s leading providers of employability and health services, we are recruiting for an experienced Business Manager to join their amazing team.


As a business manager, you will inspire, motivate, and lead a team of Team Leaders, Advisers, Trainers within a high-performance culture in line with the Employability & Health pillar’s vision and values. You will manage all contracts within a pre-determined financial budget, handle Profit and Loss, and perform monthly financial forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver all contracts within your center(s) and achieve all contractually set KPIs across various metrics, including customer service standards, performance, financial, compliance, and quality.
  • Regularly review management information to identify emerging trends and proactively address potential risk areas across contracts (performance, compliance, quality and staffing resources)
  • Lead, inspire, motivate and coach teams to deliver team and individual targets, driving a high-performance culture in line with the organisations vision and values.
  • Implement performance management metrics, identify skills gaps, and mentor and coach staff.
  • Work with Quality and Compliance teams to ensure checks and controls are in place and adhered to.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including central government agencies, local authorities, and other key customers to enhance the organisations influence in the market.
  • Deliver a positive experience to all customers and identify opportunities to enhance the service further.
  • Deputise for the Area Operations Manager at internal and external meetings and other events as required.
  • Be prepared to work flexibly, including any necessary travel and overnight stays.
  • Actively participate in and promote Prevent and the safeguarding of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
  • Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures, including Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities, Quality, Health and Safety, and IT.


Requirements

Essential:

  • Extensive leadership and management experience
  • A detailed working knowledge of the local labour market in the advertised geographical area
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above
  • Fully IT literate in using a range of Microsoft Office programs, including 365 products and modern digital technologies (Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Extensive experience of working in a target-driven environment
  • Experience of delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards

Desirable:

  • Extensive knowledge of the employability industry
  • Experience of working with people in ‘advice & guidance’ environments
  • Recognised management or leadership qualifications (Level 3 and above)
  • Full driving license
