  • Identifying and submitting applications to Trusts and Foundations to secure grant funding
  • Providing support to the CEO with the development of larger funding bids, assisting relationship management and impact reporting
  • Enhancing the charity’s profile amongst relevant networks with the help of the Marketing Team.

Fundraising Officer Experience

This is the ideal role for targeted and personable individual that can think outside of the box and act on initiative, as well as exercise long term plans for the future. You will have demonstrable experience of stakeholder or customer engagement and be able to spot opportunities or leads to secure all important partnerships as well as maintain existing partnerships that are in place. You are comfortable with a target-driven, client-facing role and are comfortable with networking and building a strong sense of identity for the charity and the amazing work that they do through business development activities and opportunities. Due to the CEO’s high volume of work, you are able to work autonomously and hit the ground running where required, yet collaborate with necessary employees such as the Marketing team and trustees to achieve great results.

You will be educated to A-level standard or have other relevant qualifications, as well as being proficient with the use of Microsoft Office and social media applications and websites.

Whilst an understanding of fundraising within the charity sector is not essential for this role, a willingness to learn and demonstrable experience within a sales or business development role is a requirement. You will also have an altruistic nature and have a genuine passion for charitable work and causes.
