Job Title: E-Commerce Sales Manager

Location: Pontypridd area, South Wales

Responsible for developing and executing e-commerce sales strategies across the business portfolio, focusing on D2C growth, customer journey optimisation, and leveraging technology to drive significant business development.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Achieve e-commerce sales targets for The Royal Mint website.
  • Drive incremental sales growth through new digital channels and third-party ventures.
  • Increase conversion rates and average order value (AOV) across all business units.
  • Reduce cost per acquisition and continuously optimise digital sales channels.
  • Generate forecasted leads for offline sales, aligned with business unit targets.
  • Develop and grow the e-commerce team.
  • Pursue and deliver new commercial opportunities aligned with market trends.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the overall consumer e-commerce sales plan, ensuring all channels meet expectations in the UK and internationally.
  • Collaborate with Heads of Sales to align e-commerce targets and develop action plans.
  • Partner with commercial and marketing teams to establish new revenue streams (e.g., in-feed social purchase, live shop, social shop).
  • Deliver a cohesive international e-commerce sales strategy to achieve regional growth targets.
  • Optimise site merchandising using insights to continuously improve content presentation.
  • Develop conversion modeling methodologies in collaboration with Insights.
  • Inspire merchandising and trading teams with sales data and content analysis.
  • Forecast and plan online product and campaign revenues.
  • Optimise digital channels (PPC, SEO, Affiliates) in collaboration with the Acquisitions Team.
  • Lead campaign workflows and onsite customer journey planning using DXP and data platforms.
  • Recommend customer segmentations to CRM and Marketing teams to improve targeting.
  • Brief CRM team/HubSpot for e-commerce conversion triggers (e.g., overlays, forms, ads).
  • Align launch and content plans for campaigns with Heads of Marketing.
  • Champion customer-centric content design and ensure site optimization for SEO.
  • Brief UX and Technology teams on the e-commerce roadmap and ensure development alignment.
  • Inspire teams to innovate and maximise sales opportunities based on industry trends.
  • Provide website performance feedback to ensure The Royal Mint's site is best in class.
  • Participate in the Senior Management team, sharing accountability for overall strategy and performance.
  • Research market conditions and competitors to adapt plans as needed.

  • Knowledge of Optimisely or similar Digital Experience Platforms.
  • Experience in consumer-facing industries and working with Director/C-suite level stakeholders.
  • Strong CX behaviour demonstrated through data analysis.
  • Experience with GA4, Semrush, Clarity, BI tools, and behavioural analysis.
  • Experience developing campaign workflows.
  • Understanding of performance marketing, including PPC, SEO, and affiliates.
  • Experience with conversion modeling and behavioural predictions.
  • Experience with CRM platforms is desirable.
