Are you an experienced Design Manager looking to join a leading Tier 1 construction contractor in London? We are seeking a talented individual with substantial pre-construction experience to lead the design efforts for high-value projects exceeding £50 million.


**Key Responsibilities:**

- Oversee the design process from pre-construction through to project completion

- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure design integrity and compliance

- Manage design teams, ensuring all design activities align with project schedules and budgets

- Review and approve design documents, specifications, and drawings

- Identify and mitigate design risks, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards

- Coordinate design reviews and facilitate value engineering exercises

- Support the bid team during tender processes, providing design input and expertise

- Ensure all designs meet regulatory requirements and client expectations


**Requirements:**

- Extensive experience in pre-construction for projects above £50 million

- Proven track record as a Design Manager within the construction industry

- Strong knowledge of building regulations, codes, and standards

- Excellent communication and leadership skills

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively in a team environment

- Proficiency in design software and tools

- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field is preferred
