MacGregor Black are currently partnering with a Leading Lifestyle brand in search of a Senior Design Manager. This is a permanent role based in London.


This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of the footwear collection and contribute to the brand's success in the industry.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the design and development of all footwear collections, from concept to final product, ensuring a cohesive and innovative aesthetic.
  • Conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of industry trends and identify opportunities for new product categories and designs.
  • Manage and mentor a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and inspiring work environment.
  • Work with the merchandising and production teams to ensure designs are commercially viable and align with business goals.
  • Present design concepts and collections to internal stakeholders and contribute to marketing and sales strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to source the best materials and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Drive innovation and sustainability initiatives within the design process, aligning with the brand's commitment to responsible fashion.


What are we looking for?


  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in footwear design, with a focus on innovative and commercially successful collections.
  • Proven track record of leading successful design teams and delivering commercially successful collections.
  • Strong creative vision and ability to translate trends into marketable products.
  • Excellent technical skills, including a strong understanding of footwear construction.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for sustainability and innovation in fashion.
