About You


At Nobody’s Child we are on a mission to continually reduce the impact we have on people and planet. To support in executing our sustainability strategies and goals, we are looking for a passionate sustainability assistant to join our sustainability team. Reporting into the sustainability Manager, you'll provide critical support in executing key sustainability projects, for a leader in the responsible product market.


Day to day, you'll:



  • Support with product sustainability compliance, including the management of product- and material-level certifications / initiatives including GOTS, Textile Exchange certifications, Better Cotton, eventually leading supplier training and briefing on requirements.
  • Support the Sustainability Manager and third-party carbon partner with data collection for scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emission calculations.
  • Process supplier factory social compliance audits for existing / new suppliers, maintain relevant records, generate status reports, eventually leading supplier training and briefing on requirements.
  • Support with EPR packaging labelling and other legislative compliance as required.
  • Support Sustainability Manager and other NC functions on packaging and labelling research, sampling, materials, certifications.
  • Support Sustainability Manager and NC Brand and Digital teams on sustainability messaging for social media and online.
  • Support with data collection and collation for our Digital Product Passport, working closely with suppliers, Sustainability Manager, and third-party partners.
  • Support in the production of internal and external information, including published annual reports, monthly internal sustainability report, and relevant industry / sustainability updates.
  • Liaise with NC Buying and Merchandising teams to track information relating to materials mix and wider strategy.
  • Undertake market, industry, and regulatory research as required, to help underpin ongoing strategic direction relating to sustainability, circularity, and wider topics.
  • Assist on any other sustainability initiatives as driven by Company strategy, under direction from the Sustainability Manager.
  • Attend key industry events and conferences with Sustainability Manager.


To hit the ground running in this role, you'll have excellent administration and communication skills with an eye for detail and accuracy. A degree in Sustainability/environmental management relevant experience is preferred, but most importantly, you'll bring knowledge and passion for sustainability; social and environmental, with an interest specifically in fashion and textiles.
