KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • To bring to the attention of the Project Director, Head of Sustainability and Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Director and the relevant Project Managers environmental issues which do not conform to current statutory, company or client requirements.
  • To monitor and ensure that individual contracts/projects are established with the correct procedures to enable compliance with company and client requirements for environmental & sustainability issues
  • Liaison with the individual project/site managers involved within each work location/activity to ensure that adequate environmental & sustainability procedures are identified and established within each contract/project.
  • Liaisons with client representatives to ensure client requirements are adhered to taken into consideration.
  • Monitoring the environmental & sustainability compliance by means of regular inspections and reviews and report as required.
  • Conducting formal audits of environmental & sustainability management systems, including subcontractors throughout all stages of a contract/project to ensure the integrity of the systems.
  • Input into the project documentation including review and update as necessary.
  • Ensuring that a proactive approach is adopted to constructively support contract/project management teams.
  • To be aware of legislation relevant to work activities of the company.
  • To actively promote environmental & sustainability issues
  • Deputise in the absence of the Head of Sustainability.
  • Give advice when requested on the adequacy of environmental & sustainability plans/documents.
  • Providing environmental & sustainability input in planning work activities.
  • Advise the project team on all environmental & sustainability issues including feeding into applications such as section 61, trade effluent consents.
  • Ensure statutory notifications are in place and manage compliance.
  • Carry out site based environmental & sustainability training.
  • Develop and deliver campaigns and monitor the effectiveness of these to raise awareness of environmental & sustainability issues around the business.
  • Monitoring the provision of training and toolbox talks given by project/site managers and contractors.
  • Providing regular reports on the status of contract/project.
  • Support in implementing the Kilnbridge sustainability agenda.
  • Where possible, identify and assist in delivering energy saving opportunities and renewable energy generation for the Group's portfolio
  • Integrate environmental best practice into business processes through education and influence Promoting resource efficiency and providing guidance and support for the development of resource-saving practices
  • Input into initiatives from conception to implementation on a range of sustainability issues on site, particularly carbon, circular economy, and responsible sourcing.
  • Contribute to the calculation and tracking of the bottom-line impact of sustainability interventions.
