Alexander Lloyd are delighted to be partnering with one of the worlds most recognisable sporting brands on the hire of a Category Manager on a permanent basis.
As Category Manager you will seek to maintain effective stakeholder relationships to then provide commercial support and guidance across current and planned projects, supporting the operational, commercial and sustainability objectives of the business.
Other responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Identify and deliver sourcing opportunities through insight and analysis of your key categories
- Develop effective relationships and collaborative working with key stakeholders
- Use category insights and analysis to create a category plan
- Responsible for commercial and contractual negotiations & drafting with suppliers ensuring best value possible for the Group
- Manage supplier performance and collaborate with key suppliers
Experience & qualifications required:
- MCIPS or studying towards MCIPS
- Must have prior experience with IT or Engineering categories
- Ability to draft and negotiate contracts
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and written skills
- Ability to develop long lasting relationships with all levels within the group up to C-suite
