We are seeking an experienced and exceptional Buyer to join our close-knit own brand team at Superdrug. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a category to maximize sales and profit, as well as developing new products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver own brand products/ranges that meet agreed strategy and plans.
- Interact with various stakeholders, including commercial, suppliers, marketing, merchandising, and supply chain teams.
- Develop and deliver category plans, including range reviews, promotions, pricing, and stock, consistent with overall commercial strategy and financial objectives.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing promotional plans and strategies.
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of promotions, taking appropriate action where necessary.
- Work in partnership with the merchandising team to agree merchandising strategy that drives and delivers the right range in the right store.
- Manage and review pricing to ensure it is competitive and maximizes profitability.
- Work with the supply chain team to ensure base sales and promotional forecasts are adhered to, while maintaining in-store availability.
- Develop effective internal and external working relationships to support and enhance category objectives and performance.
- Adept negotiation strategies to attain the best terms for the category and the business.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a buyer in a retail environment.
- Significant experience with Excel.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- 33 days holiday rising to 38 days with length of service (inclusive of bank holidays).
