The Role

This role of Social Value Manager will involve overseeing the development and execution of social impact projects across the organisation’s departments. The manager will collaborate with and support the Head of Community and Social Value to establish and manage internal and external stakeholder engagement, partnerships, and social value programs.


This includes being jointly responsible for social reporting, governance, contract performance, and partnership strategies.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

Leading the complete delivery of social impact initiatives, including:

  • Ensuring social value activities align with contractual requirements and the company’s business strategy.
  • Managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including overseeing partnerships and programs.
  • Developing innovative campaigns that engage a range of audiences, both within and outside of the company.
  • Influencing business practices to enhance community-focused programs.
  • Managing the company’s social value dashboard and demonstrating the impact of community projects through detailed reporting.
  • Overseeing the delivery schedule of social value projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and align with financial targets.
  • Contributing to strategic leadership, ensuring social value communications and marketing are consistent and effectively address key business and reputational issues.

Utilising expertise in social value delivery across the company, ensuring that social impact projects are tracked, monitored, and reported effectively, including:

  • Collecting and reporting sustainability data to track progress against both contract-specific and broader social impact KPIs.
  • Monitoring and innovating in social value delivery.
  • Coordinating governance, campaigns, and community activities across departments to ensure they are in line with the company’s business strategy.
  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with external organisations to support the company’s social goals.


Knowledge & Experience

Candidates should have:

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate responsibility, social value strategies, and B-Corp Accreditation.
  • Experience in measuring, evaluating, and reporting social impact in a corporate environment.
  • Strong partnership management skills, with an understanding of collaboration to achieve social value using frameworks such as HACT/TOMs.
  • The ability to provide strategic advice and coaching on social value policy and best business practices.
  • A proven track record of managing and reporting on complex partnerships, tailored to various audiences.
  • Creativity in developing compelling social value campaigns.
  • Experience in designing and implementing programs that encourage employee, delegate, or customer involvement.
