We are Business Link Magazine Group and have a range of established Regional, National and International magazine titles such as: Food & Drink International, Lincolnshire Today, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Business Link, East Midlands Business Link and Pharma Business International. Each of our titles also has its own online digital magazine and dedicated news site, which our clients also use to market themselves regularly.


The role


You’ll be responsible for reaching out to existing and new clients and presenting our range of advertising solutions in our magazines and on our digital sites. While most clients are already familiar with our magazines, as we’re market leaders and the titles have been established some 40 years, they may not be familiar with the features we’re running each month and your task is to contact those who might be interested in advertising alongside pertinent editorial about their industry in an upcoming issue.


You’ll be converting and retaining valuable clients, and working side by side with our editorial department to offer highly effective solutions to our customers. You’ll be assisting clients by planning and delivering effective and creative advertising campaigns and helping them get the most from their advertising and marketing budgets.



Initially, you’ll be making contact by telephone and email from the sales office, but for those who can drive and prefer face-to-face selling, there is also the opportunity to visit clients and, from time to time, we also attend industry events such as trade fairs and exhibitions; a great way to bond with clients and make new contacts.


Our clients often become good friends too, so once you’ve developed rapport with a new or existing client, you’ll find you’ll be looking after him/her for years to come. This means you’ll need to be the sort of person who can offer our clients a level of service second to none.


Qualifications


The successful candidate will possess the following qualities:


• An excellent communicator

• Confident and engaging, with the ability to build rapport

• You’ll be comfortable dealing with all levels of businesspeople from sole traders to CEO’s

• A clear and logical thinker who can not only service existing clients but also find and win new clients

• A positive mental attitude and determined approach toward sales

• A genuine desire to deliver exceptional customer service

• An understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms, and how they can help clients connect with other businesses

• Strong negotiating skills

• Computer skills to track sales calls and information on our CRM system (training given)

• Good time management skills
