Salary: Circa £58,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Partnering with key business functions, focussing on ensuring the delivery of an affordable costbase in support of the growing Submarine programmes
- Identifying business trends, business risks and opportunities, and translate these into corrective actions
- Working closely with Financial Planning & Analysis colleagues to translate changing business needs into specific capabilities
- Working with the business to shape future needs, identify trends and leverage new opportunities or mitigate risks
- Supporting Business Reviews in different business scenarios and ensure this is clearly understood by senior business stakeholders
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Fully qualified Accountant with post-qualification experience
- CIMA or ACCA or ACA or equivalent qualified
- Senior stakeholder management (Functional Directors), influencing and networking
- Strong analytical capability, including basic knowledge of key financial salients
- Ability to understand, breakdown and communicate complex issues to a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to identify and pragmatically resolve problems
- Adaptability and ability to lean quickly in to new business environments
Desirable:
- Detailed knowledge of the Submarines business and how it operates

The Business Operations Team
As a Finance Manager you will take on a specialist role, recognising the scale and volume of non-project specific business partnering activities required across Submarines.
You will be an integral member of the Business Operations Team which partner various functions across the business, agnostic of programme and partners with the Maritime Sector and BAE Sector wide Finance organisations. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
