Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Specialist to join our Business Operations Team at BAE Systems. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of an affordable cost base in support of our growing Submarine programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with key business functions to ensure the delivery of an affordable cost base, focusing on identifying business trends, risks, and opportunities, and translating these into corrective actions.
  • Work closely with Financial Planning & Analysis colleagues to translate changing business needs into specific capabilities.
  • Support Business Reviews in different business scenarios and ensure that this is clearly understood by senior business stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of the Submarines business and how it operates.
  • Provide senior stakeholder management, influencing, and networking.
  • Contribute to the development of business strategies and plans, and provide financial analysis and advice to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • CIMA or ACCA or ACA or equivalent qualified.
  • Strong analytical capability, including basic knowledge of key financial salients.
  • Adaptability and ability to lean quickly into new business environments.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Submarines business and how it operates.
