Purpose of the Role

Responsible for all supporting aspects of collection, review, monitoring and analysis, reporting and dissemination of financial information, including collaborating with senior colleagues, identifying the best way to summarise data and present results in a format appropriate for the audience, and providing support for business proposals.

Support production of the annual budget, the 5-year financial business plan, monthly management accounts and quarterly forecasts.

This role works alongside the Finance Business Partners. These team members are responsible for day-to-day support to budget holders and production of the monthly management accounts and quarterly forecast.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure finance deadlines are met in helping to produce the Monthly Management Accounts, Quarterly Forecasts, Annual Budget and 5-year business plan, including detailed and summary analysis, in numerical, graphical and written formats, as appropriate, and in collaboration with budget holders and both Finance and HR Business Partners. Reports must be written appropriately for their audience and reviewed to ensure they are aligned to corporate objectives.
  • Develop a costing model to create annual budgets for Core Output reporting
  • Provide business partnering support to develop financial business cases as required.
  • Support the Finance Controller in preparing or reviewing account reconciliations

  • Fully qualified (ACCA or CIMA) accountant with significant post qualification experience.
  • Significant experience in a Management Accounting or Business Partnering role, to include budget preparation, long term business planning and supporting preparation of business cases for new activities.
