It works with rights holders, governing bodies, household brands and major investors who share its belief in the power of sport. 54 comprises three service areas each consisting of two divisions: 1. Strategic Advisory (Consultancy and Data & Insights), 2. Asset Optimisation (Operations and Commercial), 3. Activation & Engagement (Events and Marketing). ROLE OVERVIEW:

The opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, driven and creative Marketing Strategy Account Manager, to join the 54 team, playing a pivotal role in the delivery of the company’s events portfolio. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in event marketing, adhering to best practice and utilising insights to deliver against event KPIs, particularly in driving event awareness, attendance and commercial returns.


The ideal candidate will have a passion for the game of golf and understanding and experience of developing cross-channel marketing campaigns, including brand development, media buying, content generation, social media management and PR & Communications.


The candidate must also have a talent for developing creative ideas and activations and be comfortable working on multiple projects and to tight deadlines. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage both internal and external teams is required, as is excellent attention to detail. A significant element of the role will be managing event marketing budgets.


The candidate will be based in the 54 offices in Wimbledon (UK), although significant international travel will be necessary to be present at events throughout the year, including being active out of normal working hours of 9am-5.30pm Monday-Friday.



KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Marketing Strategy Senior Account Director, the role requires a varied skillset and the ability to work across a diverse event portfolio, to assist 54 service its clients’ needs:


  • Brand and campaign management and delivery:
  • Collaborate with strategic leads to shape marketing strategies that align with client goals, supported by data and Insights
  • Develop cross-platform marketing campaign routes, segmenting target audiences and identifying the necessary tactics and channels for engagement
  • Manage campaign lifecycle and coordinate teams to ensure key workstreams are being activated and delivered according to agreed timelines. These include but are not limited to:


  1. PR & comms
  2. Owned channels
  3. Logistics and on-site activations
  4. Social media
  5. Media Buying


  • Manage and oversee event marketing budget
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, be reactive to adapt to plans as needed and provide regular updates to 54 senior management


Client and Key Stakeholder Management

  • Build and nurture client relationships, ensuring seamless service delivery and providing regular client updates
  • Management of work-in-progress documents and oversee delivery of regular client reports
  • Liaise with rights holders and event partners to ensure maximum leverage of external channels for our own marketing purposes
  • Work with and across internal departments to generate shared benefits through event campaign delivery


Team Liaison

  • Delegate and manage team members to deliver across marketing campaigns
  • Excellent communication skills and team player (important given Performance 54's International remit and oversea-offices)
  • Liaise regularly with other teams to ensure alignment


SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/APTITUDES NEEDED:

  • Interest in professional golf is required; experience of golf event marketing is desirable
  • Proven ability of working with and leading cross-functional teams to deliver on cross-platform marketing campaigns
  • Brand management experience, ensuring key narratives and brand elements are protected throughout all activity
  • Ability to manage relationships and consult with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in working with athletes or talent is desirable
  • Experience in working across different regions is desirable
