Join a leading insurance brokerage as a Claims Handler and play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service while managing insurance claims in compliance with industry guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering various classes of commercial and personal lines claims.
  • Handling diverse claims such as household, domestic, motor, third party recoveries, subsidence, public and employer liability, personal injury, and a wide range of commercial insurances.
  • Managing the end-to-end claims process, including first notification, claims validation, liaison with insurers, loss adjustors, and uninsured loss recovery companies, and providing customers with expert advice.
  • Identifying and escalating suspicious, complex, or high-value claims to management.
  • Utilising IT software to create and maintain claims files, ensuring compliance with policy conditions and regulations.
  • Processing claims efficiently and accurately, maintaining compliance with FCA regulations and company procedures.
  • Handling complaints in accordance with company protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrating exceptional organisational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Having the ability to analyse information and manipulate data in order to create meaningful reports for analysis. Collating and providing timely management information to the Directors.
  • Demonstrating exceptional customer service skills at all times.
  • Able to handle all queries in a professional manner.


Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of the end-to-end claims process and insurance cover for policies.
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, prioritise tasks, and build effective relationships with clients and insurers.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programmes, with experience in Acturis considered advantageous but not essential.
  • Cert CII qualification and general insurance experience are desirable.
  • Motivated to provide outstanding customer service, along with negotiation and relationship-building skills.
