A recognized management qualification and meeting chairing experience are desirable.

What the job involves

As an Advanced Social Work Practitioner, you lead operational practices in high-risk, complex areas, ensuring safe, positive outcomes for children through professional leadership and quality assurance. You support professionals internally and externally, chair complex meetings, manage strategic developments, oversee court work, and guide high-risk cases. Mentoring and managing a team, you ensure compliance with council, legal, and regulatory requirements while fostering collaborative, multi-agency work. Financial duties include budget operations and value-for-money service delivery. A key figure in safeguarding investigations, you ensure timely completion and decision-making. You contribute to organizational change, mentor staff, manage resources, and uphold high governance, confidentiality, and data protection standards, with possible out-of-hours work and travel.
