Drive Impact with the Aurora Trust’s Investment and Climate Goals
We are seeking a Trustee with expertise in finance and impact investing to help shape our philanthropic vision for sustainability.
Position: Trustee
Location: Central London (meetings online or in-person)
Hours: Approximately 14 days per year
Closing Date: 5th December 2024
About the Role:
As a Trustee, you will take a lead on the Aurora Trust’s finance and investments . This includes chairing key meetings related to the Trust’s endowment and philanthropic impact investment fund, as well as contributing to grant-making decisions and our Climate Change Collaboration programme. You will attend quarterly trustee meetings, annual AGMs, and various investment committee meetings. This voluntary, non-executive role is an opportunity to drive impactful change through innovative investments and sustainable grant-making.
About You:
You will bring a wealth of expertise in managing impact investment portfolios that deliver environmental, social, and financial returns. Knowledge of sustainability sectors, particularly renewable energy, and early-stage business investments will be highly valued. Previous experience in charity governance and an understanding of trustee responsibilities are essential, as is a commitment to the Nolan Principles of public life. This role requires strategic vision, collaborative skills, and the ability to dedicate approximately 14 days per year.

- Expertise in impact and general investment portfolio management
- Experience in sustainability sectors, particularly renewable energy
- Knowledge of charity governance and non-executive responsibilities
- Passion for tackling climate change and delivering innovative solutions
