Our Commercial team is growing and we’re looking for a Commercial Development Executive to join us on this exciting journey.


They’ll support in the delivery of Bristol Airport’s Estates commercial objectives in maximising utilities, electrical and property revenue generation whilst delivering excellent service to our business partners.


This role would suit an experienced commercial professional with good commercial acumen and attention to detail. We’re looking for a track record of project delivery and completion, with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Act as subject matter expert for the Airport’s utilities while also maintaining and monitoring the measurement and invoicing.
  • Create and maintain the central database for all departmental owned and third-party supply. Anticipating future demand and creating innovative ways of exceeding future expectations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Finance and Engineering to maintain both availability of supply and relevant data to ensure maximised efficiency.
  • Administer and maintain all departmental processes for data storage and archiving in line with agreed systems.
  • Manage relationships with estate agents and tenants on all residential properties and where applicable, arrange works with our own approved on-site contractors.
  • Identify and explore new opportunities for value adding fees and charges. Ensuring that all fees and charges are mapped through.
  • Continuously develop charging methodology around products or services that are offered at Bristol Airport working collaboratively with other departments.
  • Participate where necessary within the Small Investment Board (SIB), Project Investment Board (PIB), and Opex Governance Board (OGB).
  • Lead on large- and small-scale capital projects and programmes to deliver capacity and net zero aspirations.
  • Forecast and monitor delegated budgets, ensuring effective use, monitoring and control of financial resources.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to optimise benefit delivery throughout the programme lifecycle.


PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

  • Strong commercial understanding, financially astute with evidenced procurement and budget management experience.
  • Ability to think ahead, plan, consult stakeholders and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to successfully manage competing demands and resources whilst adhering to strict deadlines, coupled with excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills, and ICT savvy, fully competent in all MS Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to build effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tenacious, resilient, and positive nature, with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Achieves high level of standards and pays close attention to detail.
  • Customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels.
  • Independent, curious, and driven to understanding the business to devise strategic solutions to challenges and changes encountered.
