Senior Business Development Manager – The Role:


Our client is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join their growing Direct Sales team. The focus of this role is new business, with an emphasis on driving profitability from self-generated relationships. The successful applicant will be able to learn about our core + value added proposition, applying our solutions to solve customer challenges.


This will be role is UK based but offers a flexible/remote setup and allows you the freedom to identify prospective customers and partners across the UK and Europe, from start up to enterprise.


Proven historic sales success is desired, and we would welcome applicants that have experience in successfully engaging with prospects in our primary vertical industries, especially Digital Ecommerce, Travel, Hospitality or Financial Services.


Senior Business Development Manager – Key Responsibilities:


- Actively seek and engage with potential merchants and referral partners, showcasing the advantages of our products and their service offering

- Pinpoint major difficulties faced by merchants and partners, address these problems by applying the correct range of products and services maintaining profitable agreements

- Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with support available from Line Manager, Department Director and Pricing Manager as needed

- Oversee post-acquisition care of new customers until they are ready to transition to an Account Manager

- Maintain your introducer relationships by building trust and expanding their portfolio of referred merchants

- Constantly update our CRM system to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting and pipeline management

- Represent our company at trade events as necessary

- We strongly promote travel to meetings with prospect clients and partners to help maximise the discussion quality, for efficient resolving of identified problems


Senior Business Development Manager – You:


- Experience in the Payments sector is essential

- Experienced in independently building business opportunities and client relationships
