Are you passionate about delivering high-quality neurodevelopmental assessments while working with a multidisciplinary team? Psicon is looking for a dynamic and experienced Clinical Services Manager to join our innovative and supportive team.


About the Role


This pivotal role combines managerial and clinical responsibilities to ensure the delivery of excellent services for clients with neurodevelopmental conditions such as ASD and ADHD. You will oversee a team of approximately 50 associate clinicians, including doctors, clinical psychologists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists.


Principle duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:


• To provide general leadership of your team of approximately 50 associate clinicians (Drs, clinical psychologists, speech and language therapists and occupational therapists) approximately 50% of the day.

• To assist in the recruitment of associate clinicians through conducting clinical screening calls and trial clinics.

• To offer your team of associate clinicians’ guidance on day to day running of the clinics.

• To maintain professional responsibility for the provision of quality assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions (ASD & / or ADHD) across a range of clinical models.

• To hold a clinical advisory role to support associate clinicians in the provision of excellent ND assessments.

• To adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the number of clinical sessions carried out per week, 1, 2 or 3 days a week in either Canterbury or Basingstoke clinic sites.

• Carry out clinical audits of service performance, including service user surveys and evaluations, and help to collate and disseminate the results for feedback.


Person Specification


• Highly skilled clinician (Dr, Clinical Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist) with significant experience in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental conditions – autism and / or ADHD.

• Proven ability to support a team in the delivery of high-quality services to children and families.

• Understanding of private and NHS healthcare structure / systems / pathways across the UK (e.g. NHS England, ICBs, NHS trusts)

• Ability to recognise all significant events, relevant clinical issues and difficulties and report these to the Clinical Management Team

• The clinical part of the role is based in the clinic in Canterbury, Kent or Basingstoke.

• Candidates will also be asked to work approx. 1 weekend day every 4 weeks, to provide "on call" clinical support to the weekend teams.
