Element has an opportunity for a Procurement Administrator (German language skills) to join our growing team, on a 12 month fixed term contract, in our new Global Business Services (GBS) team based in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in administration, whilst utilising your German language skills daily.


Our key requirement for this role is strong administration experience and someone who is passionate about providing first class support to internal and external stakeholders, as well as German language skills. Purchasing experience is not required, although advantageous.


As we prepare to bring in our Germany laboratories' procurement support to be managed centrally within our GBS, we are looking for a new Administration colleague to join our team. You will play a key role in managing strong relationships with our Germany colleagues whilst liaising daily with our GBS colleagues to ensure efficient processes are maintained.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintenance of our vendor master data in D365 F&O system
  • Supporting our colleagues in Germany and Netherlands transition to a new system / set of operational processes
  • Responsible for managing vendor on boarding process
  • Help manage shared inbox - responding to lab queries & issues
  • Support and respond to vendor queries in a timely manner
  • Ensure element procurement operations processes are followed correctly and in line with our Audit requirements


Skills & Experience:

  • Fluent German and English language skills are essential
  • Dutch language skills are advantageous
  • Experience within an office environment
  • Highly motivated and organised individual with a flexible approach to work
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of work or safety
