Role Description

This is a full-time Quantity Surveyor role. The role will be based out of our Glasgow office with visits to various sites across the whole of Scotland and North England. We are looking for an intermediate level Quantity Surveyor to join our team. Reporting to Managing Surveyors, Contracts Manager and Directors you will manage commercial and contractual matters from project outset through to completion on a variety of projects from roads and structures to flood prevention, to renewable energy projects, carrying out all necessary functions including subcontract package procurement, agreement of main contract and subcontract interim applications and final accounts, measurement take-offs and variation/change control costing, value engineering, creation and submission of programmes, contract administration and cost forecasting and reporting.


Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying;
  • Ability to work as part of team;
  • Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Ability to communicate effectively;
  • Excellent numerical and problem-solving skills;
  • IT proficiency including intermediate excel skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Security cleared or the ability to obtain the required level of clearance;
  • Knowledge of common law, contract law and standard form conditions of contract;
  • Experience with contract documentation preparation;
  • Ability to manage change control effectively;
  • Experience with contract administration, ensuring contract compliance;
  • Experience with cost forecasting and reporting;
  • NEC and FIDIC experience preferable.
