Position Overview:We are seeking a Commercial Analyst who will play a crucial role in supporting the development of key business lines. The successful candidate will be instrumental in providing detailed analytics and robust management information. This role involves key support to our Commercial Business Partners and the Senior Finance leadership team. The Commercial Analyst will be fully engaged in budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes, aiming to deepen their understanding of their area of responsibility. Moreover, the role demands a collaborative approach to ensure effective knowledge transfer across the business.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions

  • Support the achievement of strategic objectives by providing robust and extensive management information.

  • Work closely with the business to evaluate financial and commercial performance. Support in the production and analysis of Investment appraisals/Business cases. Development of sophisticated scenario planning, trend analysis and sensitivity analysis. Completion of ad-hoc project work to support Commercial Business partners and GMs.

  • Support business in the commercial assessment and analysis of performance to enable decision-making and timely impacts.

  • Provide detailed sales analysis, including, but not limited to, Fining performance by customer/segment/product, analysis, and identification of focus areas to drive profitable growth.

  • Provide a high level of support to internal customers (GMs, Commercial Business Partners, Senior Finance Leadership team).

Specific Skills

  • Experience in a similar role

  • Effective problem-solver and exceptional analytical skills with the ability to disseminate to finance and non-finance employees

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the business

  • Customer-focused individual able to build up a positive rapport with both internal and external customers

  • Advanced IT skills

  • Flexibility and strong organisational skills, ability to hit deadlines and manage large amounts of data

  • Able to work efficiently on own initiative and also as part of a team

Education and Experience

  • Fully qualified accountant with 3-5 years PQE
