We are currently working in partnership with a public sector organisation based in Newcastle, who are recruiting for two ER Case Managers on an initial temporary twelve-week contract (potential to be extended or permanent role). This position is due to start as soon as possible, with an hourly rate of pay up to £23/24 per hour PAYE/Umbrella.


The ideal candidate will have really strong employee relations case management experience and ideally be CIPD qualified.


Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensure employee relation management is applied fairly and consistently
  • Demonstrating current employment law knowledge as a strong backbone to your approach
  • Involvement in hearing and complex cases, striking the right balance of risk and care in concluding the right outcomes for all parties
  • Managing ER casework escalated from site HR Managers including grievances, absence and disciplinaries
  • Running employment law updates with HR managers and upskilling them and operational managers on dealing with employee relations casework
  • Supporting employment related projects as needs be


Expertise required:

  • Strong employee relations case management experience
  • Ideally be CIPD qualified
  • Confident in IT/HR systems and MS Office (Excel)


Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours
  • Monday – Friday
  • 9am - 5:30pm (flexible)
