We are recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations (ER) Manager to join this fantastic, collaborative Employee Relations team.

As the Employee Relations (ER) Manager, you will be a pivotal member of our HR team, responsible for managing a high volume of complex ER cases. Reporting directly to the Head of Employee Relations, you will have one direct report and will work closely with Senior Managers to provide expert advice and support on a wide range of ER issues, from performance management and disciplinaries to organizational change programs, including design, redundancy, and restructuring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and resolve a high volume of complex ER cases, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant employment laws.
  • Provide expert advice and support to Senior Managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, and other ER matters.
  • Lead and manage change programs, including organizational design, redundancy, and restructuring initiatives.
  • Develop and implement ER strategies and practices that support the business goals and foster a positive work environment.
  • Mentor and manage the performance of one direct report, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to support a collaborative approach to ER issues.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a specialist Employee Relations position, ideally within a large, complex matrix business. (A minimum of 3 years specializing in end to end ER case management is required)
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of complex ER cases with a high degree of sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Experience in supporting and advising Senior Managers on ER matters.
  • Proven track record in leading and managing change programs, including organizational design, redundancy, and restructuring.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
