About the role

If you are an experienced HR Manager full of creative ideas and positive energy, who is passionate about building people capability in an organisation, from hiring and onboarding to retaining talent through nurturing a wonderful inclusive culture, then we would like to meet you A rare opportunity has come up to join our team for a 12 month contract. Reporting to the Head of Revenue & Commercial, you will contribute towards achieving departmental objectives, including shaping the organisation’s recruitment and retention strategy. You are genuinely passionate about culture and wellbeing and will guide our Social Butterflies to nurture our wonderful diverse culture. You will liaise with external suppliers and be provided with guidance and support from the external HR lawyers when required. You will manage the HR function in respect of the UK Employment Law and the company’s strategy and will be forthcoming with ideas and improvements. The role is broad, including budget management, talent acquisition, onboarding, training and development, payroll management, employee relations management and policy writing. As our HR Manager, you will be a key person advising senior management and the rest of the team. You will take part in and represent the HR department in monthly meetings.


Responsibilities

  • Actively involved in delivering the HR strategy; proactively lead discussions, develop and communicate HR processes.
  • Liaise with the company’s HR lawyers directly to proactively manage HR function.
  • Ensure the company’s HR policies, contracts and processes are all reliable, up to date, and understood across the company.
  • Advise Oryon’s managers on people management; guide new managers on attaining relevant skills, lead workshops and training, help manage performance concerns and disciplinary actions when required.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and issues.
  • Own the recruitment strategy, making sure its relevance in respect to external and internal forces and taking proactive actions to hire and retain great talent.
  • Own the entire recruitment process from ensuring the presence of the right job descriptions for the roles and the right channels used for candidate sourcing, to fulfilling the vacancies within agreed timelines, conducting screening interviews, providing feedback, and onboarding.
  • Oversee new starter inductions, and the leaver process; carry out exit interviews and provide feedback to relevant parties.
  • Lead contract delivery and advise on the terms and conditions of employment.
  • Oversee the administration of PeopleHR platform. Monitor all annual leave and absence.
  • Manage the HR and recruitment budget.
  • Oversee employees’ training, learning and development.
  • Work with the Compliance Manager to ensure all HR practices comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver against the department objectives and targets.
  • Manage, guide and look after the development of the HR Assistant.
  • Actively involved in building and nurturing employee culture.
  • Oversee Social Butterflies’ activities, budget and deliverables. Help organise internal events when required.
  • Oversee the benefits and the wellbeing program.
  • Oversee payroll administration.


About you

  • You’re great with people and genuinely nice to be around.
  • Previous HR Manager/HR Business Partner experience.
  • CIPD qualified.
  • Knowledge of the UK Employment Law & HR best practices
  • Experience in employee relations.
  • Experience in supporting senior leadership.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Experience in submitting payroll data.
  • Experience in policy writing is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken.
  • Educated at a degree level.
