Salary/Pay Rate: £212.02 per day (PAYE) - 40 hrs per week

Hours: Full-time

Duration: 12 months


We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to join our fintech client's UK Compliance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that their financial services and products comply with all relevant regulatory requirements, with a particular focus on FCA reporting and the Payment Services Directive (PSD2).


This is a 12-month contract, offering up to £212.02 per day, circa £55,125 per annum, pro rata (PAYE).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance Support: Assist in upholding the company's overall compliance program, focusing on FCA regulatory licences.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Take responsibility for all UK regulatory reporting in line with the Open Banking and Payments licences.
  • High-Focus Areas Management: Collaborate with the Head of UK Compliance and senior compliance manager to manage key areas for the FCA, including regulatory reporting, customer complaints, and notifications as per FCA and PSD2 guidelines.
  • Compliance Advisory: Provide expert compliance advice regarding new and existing regulated financial services products.
  • Business Growth Support: Aid in ensuring the compliant growth of the Company Limited's international business operations.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Degree in Law, Finance, Business, or an equivalent field is desirable.
  • Experience: Previous experience within Banks, FinTech, Payments Companies, or Consulting.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of FCA reporting requirements and the Payment Services Directive (PSD2) with a focus on payments activities.
  • Compliance Expertise: Proven track record in supporting regulatory compliance programs, particularly under FCA regulatory licences.
  • Advisory Skills: Strong ability to provide compliance advisory to support product development and business growth.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with senior compliance managers and other stakeholders to manage high-focus regulatory areas.
