My client, a top US law firm, is actively seeking an experienced AML/KYC professional, to join them on a permanent basis in their London office – working as their new KYC Specialist/Paralegal.

This is a new addition to the London Finance Law team at the firm and your primary purpose is to support the Fee-Earners in the London Finance Team by coordinating and managing their KYC processes. Ultimately, you’ll be report into the London Finance Partners, however, you will be working closely with other Associates within this team.


As the successful KYC Specialist/Paralegal, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:


  • Coordinating the overall KYC process on the firms borrower/sponsor-side transactions
  • Obtaining KYC requirements from lenders on each transaction
  • Analysing lender KYC requirements to understand exactly what is required
  • Acting as a point of contact for all KYC queries within the London Finance Team
  • Maintaining and managing the database of KYC materials that have been received from their Private Equity sponsor and borrower clients
  • Maintaining and managing the database/list of KYC requirements from previous transactions
  • Providing training and guidance to Trainee Associates within the London Finance Team

To qualify for this opportunity, you will need to have/be the following:


  • Have experience in KYC/AML from either an investment bank or credit/private fund (with proven experience and understanding of KYC/AML compliance
  • Be degree educated or have the relevant KYC/AML qualification(s)
  • Be able to take accountability for the end-to-end KYC process and manage multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Ideally, have experience of KYC/AML requirements in the context of borrowers
  • Have the willingness to take on additional non-KYC-related projects to assist the London Finance Team
