Job Title: Health, Safety, Environmental Change & Improvement Manager

Salary: Circa £60,000 depending on experience

Location: Stevenage/Bolton/Bristol (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

Due to an internal promotion, we have an excellent opportunity to join the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) team at MBDA UK. Focusing on continual improvement and driving culture change throughout the organisation. If you are passionate about safety in the workplace, an excellent collaborator who can work effectively with others towards common goals and have experience of leading change in a complex organisation, this challenging but exciting position may be for you.

  • Manage and Facilitate SHE continuous improvement initiatives throughout MBDA UK while gaining stakeholder and organisational buy in to the changes.
  • Drive change programs ensuring MBDA UK continues towards building a world-class health & Safety culture throughout all levels and areas of the business.
  • Continuous improvement of the tools and processes in place to support the overall SHE management systems.
  • Identify industry and HSE best practice to help achieve MBDA's SHE strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to effectively harness existing knowledge and experience to work towards common goals.

This role will enable you to travel to our other sites and a chance to meet and work with a wide range of internal customers across all levels. You'll be able to work dynamically with the flexibility of where, when and how you work.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or similar qualification is desirable
  • Proven experience of leading change within a complex organisation with evidence of success.
  • Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships across all functions to harness knowledge, ideas and experience.
  • Ability to engage and influence employees at all levels within the organisation.
  • Ideally experienced in project management and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Able to balance multiple projects successfully.
