We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Emcor UK. As a key member of our EHS team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide EHS support to our operational teams, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, accredited processes, and procedures.
- Assist in the implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, including project delivery, to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
- Coordinate and provide EHS support to our contracts, ensuring consistency with Emcor UK's and GSK's EHS policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
- Conduct regular structured inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with EHS legislation and standards.
- Provide guidance and practical expertise on EHS matters to internal and external customers, promoting accountability and responsibility.
- Support the development and implementation of EHS training programs, ensuring employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely and effectively.
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
- IEMA or similar in environmental awareness.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (member of IOSH).
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a health and safety related role.
- Previous experience of working in a regulated environment.
- Auditor trained or auditing experience.
- Experience of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
- Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of safety and risk management.
- An understanding of CDM2015 and BS 5975 Temporary Works Standard.
- Working knowledge of quality management systems, procedural technical, and HSE compliance.
